I have been looking at a few products to review for my first ever review, I brought a new Mamas and Papas pushchair about a month ago and I have to say I have completely fallen in love with it! It is the Argo. I brought it from Argos and haven’t found it anywhere else as yet. I have seen it in yellow but I think this has been discontinued, I got it in the lovely duck egg colour (I’m a bit of a sucker when it comes to anything in the colour duck egg) I have tired quite a few prams, when Elsa was born I had a Mothercare travel system and loved it! So finding a stroller to use after that was a difficult challenge, I’ve had everything from Bugaboo to the pocket stroller (review coming on this little beauty soon!) Due to my bad back and the fact that I’m tall it has been a pain in the arse finding a small folding stroller with a big seat also with a handle that has height adjustment. oh, and I like pushchair that are colourful. I don’t ask for much!
Then while looking in Argos I found my dream buggy, the Argo. I’m guessing it’s called that because it is only sold in Argos, but I may be wrong. It ticks all the boxes: Big seat-tick, Height adjustable handle – tick, small folding – tick and colourful tick! As soon as I saw it I fell in love with it ( sounds sad but I love a nice pushchair!) The basket is easy to reach and is a brilliant size, it fits my changing bag nicely as it is a pain to fit on to the handle, there are little things (not sure what they are called) on the handle which I’m guessing is for a Mamas and Papas changing bag and I have now see that a duck egg bag and footmuff are now on sale to match, I’m tempted to purchase these to it all matches. The hood is a very good size and covers the seat very well. The buggy also reclines, Elsa loves to nap in her buggy so that was another necessary feature that it had to have. The Argo reclines fully and the basket is still accessible when fully reclined. It has a 5 point safety harness and front suspension so is very comfortable. The leg rest is adjustable also so is great if Elsa is asleep, the buggy lays completely flat. The brake on the back wheel is a lot easier to use than lot of other pushchairs we have tried. The front wheels are swivel wheels but they can also be locked, it can be pushed with one hand as it is so light and it is a delight to push.
Now for the specs:
- It is suitable from birth to 3 years
- It weights 9kg
- 2 hand flat fold
- Fold size L109cm W30cm D26cm
- Lockable front wheels
- Handle height 106cm
Included with the pushchair there is a raincover, shopping basket and a detachable hood.
The price of the Argo is £134.99 but at the moment is on offer for £119.99 The Argo is brilliant value for money and I would recommend it to anyone.
Best buggy I have owned in a long time! It scores a 10 out of 10!
