A Bloggers Guide To Burnham Market, Norfolk

I have lived in Burnham Market the majority of my life so I would like to consider myself a bit of an expert when it comes to my popular little village.
If you don’t know where Burnham Market is, it is on the north coast of Norfolk. Burnham Market is one of many villages that make up the collection called ‘The Burnhams’. Burnham Market is also known as Chelsea-On-Sea as it is a hot spot of celebrities and has a bit of a reputation for being the place to be when on the Norfolk Coast.

Now Burnham Market has changed a lot of the years, I think this is due to its increasing popularity. As well as having well known name stores such as Jack Wills and Joules. There is also a Butchers, a hardware store and a fishmongers that sell freshly caught fish. As a village, Burnham Market is very picturesque. The perfect place if you are after those beautiful eye-catching Instagram photos! With the bright coloured front doors and the goose beck that goes through the village green, it is like something out of a book on a hot summers day.

But that isn’t all in pretty little Burnham Market, the village also has some very well known pubs, bars and restaurants. Most people will have heard of The Hoste that is situated right in the heart of the village. There is also a few more not to miss places to visit if you are feeling peckish or  maybe just wanting a quiet drink. Other places include; The Nelson pub, North Street Bistro, Socius Tapas, No. Twenty9 Bar and Restaurant and Tilly’s café and The Burnham Tea Rooms. If your not in Burnham Market to eat or drink though, you can always shop.

Burnham Market is known for its shopping. From clothes shops such as Anna to The Hat Shop for that all important special occasion hat. There are gorgeous shops round every corner. A few of my favourites though have to be Lime Green clothing, Barefoot Living and Mable’s Paint Pot (which is also a beautiful traditional sweet shop!) Whatever your reason to visit, visiting Burnham Market’s shops are a must. Throughout the year, there are events held both in the village and just outside it. In Burnham Market itself, you have events such as the craft fair and the flower show. While just outside of the village at Sussex Barn you have events such as The Burnham Market Horse Trails which are held every year around the Easter Weekend.
