Paddington – The perfect book for World Book Day!

AD – Gifted

When it comes to children’s book, there are a few that are all time classics. Paddington being one of them so when Rainbow Designs sent us a My First Paddington plush and the classic Paddington book, we were so happy.

Paddington is a story that has been read by generation after generation and with it just celebrating 60 years of Paddington, it looks like it is going to be a book found on family bookshelves for years to come. The book tells the story of Paddington Bear, a bear from Darkest Peru who finds himself in England. He arrives at Paddington Station with only a suitcase, half a jar of marmalade and a label that reads, ‘Please look after this bear. Thank you.’ It is the story of his wild and fun adventures in London with the Brown Family.

The book is beautifully illustrated and the words are easy to read so perfect for the whole family. Elsa and Cleo love reading Paddington, they laugh at all his clumsy but fun adventures. They recognise him with his blue duffle coat and red hat, the iconic Paddington outfit. As well as the book, We also have the My First Paddington plush toy. It is the perfect size and material for a new baby gift but can be brought for a child of any age and with or without the book. The plush and the book make an amazing gift together too though!

They are also perfect for celebrating World Book Day. This is a day to celebrate amazing children’s book, it doesn’t matter if they are old or new but Paddington is such a classic that it definitely deserves to be celebrated by children all over the UK.

World Book Day 2019 is on 7th March!
