Sponge celebration cakes!

There is nothing better than a good sponge cake and living in Norfolk, there is only one company that comes to mind when I think of delicious sponge cakes…Sponge.

Yep. The company is called Sponge! They are based near Holt in Norfolk and if you live in this area then there is a huge chance that you have heard of them. They make traditional cakes in a massive range of flavours from Victoria sponge to seasonal favourites like Spiced Pumpkin. Their cakes are sold all over the place and if you don’t live near a stockist, you can order online with next day delivery which in my opinion is just incredible!

I have had Sponge cakes at Norfolk attractions such as Roar Dinosaur Adventure and before working with Sponge on this blog post, I also ordered a birthday cake for my Grandad.

When ordering online, it couldn’t be easier and there are so many options for types of cake, size and you can even personalised the cake with toppers, images and your own image. So it is brilliant for birthdays and special occasions. I ordered Grandad’s cake on a Monday for Thursday delivery but we could have had it the next day as we ordered before 2pm! The whole process was very easy and I did worry about delivery but I was worrying about that the courier wouldn’t handle the cake with care and we would end up with a squished cake but thankfully that didn’t happen and the cake came via DHL and was perfect.

For both Grandad’s cake and the cake that Sponge kindly sent, I chose a Victoria Sponge. It is a traditional cake and who doesn’t love a Victoria Sponge! The cakes come in both 8 person and 16 person and both are a very good size. Sponge cakes are very generous in size and they taste delicious.

They produce vegan and gluten-free cakes for people that cant eat regular cake so they cater for everyone too!

You can see all the flavours and order your Sponge cake over on their website.
