You’re off to great places. Today is your day. Your mountain is waiting….so get on your way!
Elsa has been experiencing her first year of school for about a month now and it has been a journey to say the least but I thought it was time for an update!
I was so worried when Elsa started school and she was so excited which made me worry more. For some reason, I could just imagine her starting and then after a little while, deciding that she doesn’t want to go anymore. Thankfully this hasn’t happened and I think over time, she is enjoying it more and more. I wrote a post about ways to help your child in their first year of school just in case and even though I have heard it has helped other parents. We haven’t had any issues with Elsa starting. It is a huge sigh of relief!
I am so glad and to be honest really proud that she is enjoying the academic side of school. I felt like it would be a huge jump to go from playgroup 2 days a week to school 5 days a week but Elsa has managed it really well. She is excited to come home every day and tell me what she has learnt and I am trying my best to encourage this. I have never seen a child so excited and enthusiastic to do homework before?! It is incredible to watch her blossom and learn so much!
I want her to enjoy learning as much as possible and for it to continue throughout her life at school. I didn’t really enjoy school much when I was younger and I can only wish that Elsa has fun with it and that she makes friends and amazing memories at the same time as learning.
