With a little light at the end of tunnel, I have been thinking about what is the one thing I want to do when the pandemic is over.
At the moment, we are limited with what we can do and to be safe and save lives, it has to be this way to save lives and help our NHS. I am planning what I want to do when we are the other side of this global pandemic.
I’m not even that bothered about going aboard yet. I mean it would be nice to take the kids on holiday somewhere hot sunny but I don’t want too much! I would be happy with a Sunday roast, a day with all the family – in laws and grandparents, a family day out to a zoo or theme park and just to be able to have freedom to take the day as it comes. Everything has to be so planned and I just want some spontaneity in my life.
The sooner we all get out if this the better and with vaccines and testing hopefully we are getting there.
I am quite a nosey person so I would love to know what everyone really wants to do when the pandemic is over so I asked some fellow parenting bloggers and this is what they really want to do!

I’d like to travel back home to Yorkshire. I moved away almost half my life ago, and I miss it like crazy. Being stuck in flat Norfolk has its advantages, but it’s just not the same as being home. – Blossom Education
I really miss taking my daughter out for a hot chocolate and cake at a local cafe. We used to do it regularly for some quality mother daughter time so I’m really looking forward to doing that again. – Adventures Begins At Home
Hug my parents. – Devon Mama
I am so excited to drive to the seaside, buy fish and chips and go and sit on the beach and eat them. It will be such an exhilarating feeling of freedom and also, perhaps strangely , pride that we’ve come through such a difficult time. It will be a battered fish celebration. – Best Lodges With Hot Tubs
Be able to get on a plane so I can see my parents for the first time since September 2019. They are in their late 70’s and it’s been incredibly hard having no idea when we will ever see them again. – Over 40 And A Mum To One
I am looking forward to taking the kids on days out. Before the pandemic we did something every weekend. They’ve become very withdrawn and a bit anxious, I want to being having adventures and exploring the world together. Most of all I want us to have fun as a family! – Best Things To Do In York
Jump in our Bongo camper, cross the Channel, and get travelling! Appreciate that we may need to wait a little longer for this one. So in the meantime, just looking forward to seeing the grandparents. – TraveLynn Family
I want to drive to the coast and breathe in the sea air. I have missed it so much. – Rice Cakes And Raisins
My kids haven’t hugged my parents since this began in March last year. I can’t wait to see them hug, and leave their little suitcases so they can have a sleepover at Nana & Grampys and the husband and I can go out somewhere, anywhere, together. – Life, Love and Dirty Dishes
I can’t wait to have my girlfriends around for our usual pizza and wine evenings. Almost a year without one and I really miss it. – Twins, Tantrum and Cold Coffee
To be able to visit alot more places for days out including a trip to the beach, visiting family, farms, zoo’s etc. – Joanna Victoria
Go to a spa day and just CHILL! No kids, no to-do lists, just good ol’ sweet nothing but massage bliss :-). Motherhood Diaries
Can’t wait to go exploring again! Not only travelling around the UK and abroad but just strolling around town and popping into museums and art galleries spontaneously, seeing where life takes you. – Polly and Pip
I just want to be alone in my house and listen to the silence! Being a massive introvert I’m struggling with my family being here ALL THE TIME. – Me, Them and The Others
We used to go to escape rooms quite regularly as a family, or just my husband and I, and I miss the excitement and thrill of those! It actually got my brain working with the puzzles too. I also miss sitting in the cinema with a footlong hotdog on a Friday evening to kickstart the weekend! – The Mini Mes and Me
I can’t wait to introduce my newborn to my friends and family. Even those who have seen him in our support bubble haven’t been able to have a cuddle with him, so it will be amazing when they can. – Autumn’s Mummy
Go camping with the kids! It’s the first thing they both want to do when we are allowed and they’ve mentioned it soooo many times! They’ve even pretend camped in their bedrooms, the car, the living room, the garden… everywhere! I can’t wait to take them as they’ll be so excited. – Travel Vixta
To take my kids on public transport! My youngest who celebrated his first birthday at the start of the pandemic has never been on anything except a car and is so curious from watching them on tv and in books. And I’m even willing to take them to the dreaded soft plays because again the youngest hasn’t set foot in one. – Mummy Wishes
