I think exploring and going on adventures is one of the most amazing things to do as a family. Adventures can be on your doorstep, they don’t have to be miles away.
Being hands on with nature and exploring is a great way to get the kids out of the house and of course, it is a great way to learn all about the World around us.
Learning Resources is a company that we have spoken about before. They are local to us, they are based in King’s Lynn. They create products to help children learn through play. We are huge fans of their products. So when they sent us some new toys to use when we go on adventures, Elsa was very happy!
We tested out 3 products at Brancaster Beach, one of our favourite local beaches.
The GeoSafari Jr. Kidnoculars Extreme are not just your normal kids binoculars. Not only do they feature focus free vision and 3x magnification but you can also hear what you see with the built in microphone which amplifies the sound around you in built in headphones that are attached to the kidnoculars themselves.
They are bright, lightweight and come with a breakaway strap for safety. They are ideal for out and about play as they are durable.
Elsa found the Kidnoculars Extreme fun and different to play with. As we were on the beach, she had fun looking out for seagulls as well as boats.
The GeoSafari® Jr. Kidnoculars® Extreme are priced at £22.50.
The GeoSafari Jr. Explorer Scope is very much like the Kidnoculars in that they are kids versions items used by adults that are also exploring.
The Explorer Scope is 8x magnification in microscope mode for close viewing and 15x in telescope mode for further way viewing.
It has soft rubber grips and is ideal for smaller hands. Once again, it has a breakaway strap for safety. Magnification and field of vision have been designed specifically for early years children & level of perception
Elsa loved using this! The two different moods is great for adventures that are outside as there are many ways to explore nature.
The GeoSafari® Jr. Explorer Scope is priced at £16.50.
Last but certainly not least, the product that even myself and Jonny played with!
The GeoSafari Jr Talking Wildlife Camera is a ready to view toy meaning it already has 130 photos stored within the toy itself. The camera has over 120 fun facts which are narrated by Robert Irwin. There are also quiz questions go engage the kids in the learning.
The camera doesn’t take photos but you can pretend to take photos with it. It is chucky and has easy grip handles too. It comes with its own tripod and with all its features, it creates a great learning experience.
Elsa loved this so much!! She is currently learning about animals at school so this is great for bringing the learning home. Elsa loves to tell us all about school learning and this has really helped her. It is such an amazing idea for a product and we love it!
The GeoSafari® Jr. Talking Wildlife Camera™ is priced at £60.
