We had been visiting the Ostrich in South Creake for years before it closed around 2 years ago. It has now reopened and had a complete face lift!
South Creake has definitely been in need of a new place to eat and stay. It is close to the coast but also close to Fakenham.
The Ostrich Inn is situated on the main road through South Creake and is opposite the play park. It is in a great place!
The outside of the Ostrich has had a face lift and so had the inside. The inside decor is beautiful! Light and airy but yet stylish. The colour pallete is ideal for this type of building. It has low ceilings and beams.
There is a bar area, restaurant and then the chef’s table area. These tables are next to the kitchen and you can see straight in to the kitchen to view them doing an amazing job.
Now to food. There is a huge variety on the menu including a very good kids menu. All of the ingredients are locally sourced and this is on the back of the menus. It is lovely to see where everything comes from and it is great to support more local businesses. The head chef is Jes Paskins, who has worked in places such as Mosimann’s Club in London.
I had the steak while Jonny had the Ostrich burger. The food was delicious!! Couldn’t fault it at all.
After eating, we then went to look around the rooms and suites. The attention to details is amazing at The Ostrich Inn. Each room has been thought out carefully and they even cater for families with children and people with dogs.
We were so impressed with everything at The Ostrich Inn! We will definitely be visiting again with the kids!
