Kid K’Nex Review

Thinking back now and I can remember my Brother having the regular version of K’nex and he played with it all the time. Now there is a kids version that is made for smaller hands.

Kids K’nex is designed for smaller hands. Smaller hands doesn’t mean a smaller imagination though. The sets are suitable for ages 3 and up. Children have a great imagination and are so creative even from a young age so to get them in to a toy like K’nex is a great way to bring that imagination out.

We were sent 2 Kids K’nex sets for the kids to try out; Budding Builders and Safari Friends.

Each of these sets give you lots of ideas on what to create but obviously you can build whatever you want. There are ideas as a guide but you can make your own animals or creations. The possibilities are endless.

The Budding Builders set comes with 100 brightly coloured K’nex pieces and a poster which features 50 ideas of what you would make with this set. The ideas range from a fish to a heart to robot puppy. This set is an ideal starter set as it includes a good range of different pieces so you can make whatever you want out of one set. This set is priced at £34.99 and available from John Lewis.

The Safari Friends set is a smaller set. It contains 21 pieces and lots of ideas on animals that you couel create including a lion. In the box, you do get a tail, mane, paws and eyes to make the lion. Other animals and creatures can be made from this set though. The Safari Friends set is a great set if you want to try out Kids K’nex or you are wanting more pieces to add to your collection. This set is priced at £10 and is available from John Lewis.

Elsa and Cleo tested out these sets. They loved the ideas that come with the sets. It gives them inspiration for their own ideas too. The pictures are easy to follow and the pieces are slightly bigger then the regular K’nex so easier for younger kids to use.

If you are looking for a new imagination toy for your children then I highly recommend Kids K’nex. They will never get bored and the possibilities are endless!
