We love to visit new beaches. Ones we have never visited before. There are some of the most beautiful beaches in the UK in Norfolk and I have compiled a list of the very best!
For me, it would have to be Scolt Head. It is a bit of a walk from Burnham Overy but it is worth it. You can also get a ferry at high tide to go out to the beach. It is such a gorgeous place to be.
Hunstanton beach is amazing you can see the seals too and their pups in October time.

Gorleston is our favourite. It’s a lovely Sandy beach, great for making sandcastles and swimming. It has facilities like toilets and cafes but not loads of arcades so isn’t too busy. – Me, Them and the Others
Holkham Beach
Miles of white Sandy beach and sand dunes to play in. Gorgeous walk back through pine trees or walk up to Wells.
Visitor centre and cafe with large car park (need to pay)
Military horses seen in season
At the end of the drive there is a lovely pub with beer garden called the Victoria – great food. – Twins and Travels
Horsey Gap beach for us! – Pack The PJs
Controversial perhaps, but Great Yarmouth is definitely our favourite as the whole family adore going there. Alongside the long stretches of beach, the resort offers fun for everyone, whatever your age. – Blossom Education
West Runton beach for the ease to get onto with a large family and the rock pools are the best in the area. – East Anglia Family Fun
Heacham! So quiet because everyone goes to Hunstanton but just as beautiful! Raising Harry
Hemsby Beach – close enough to amenities for toilets, food, drink and parking whilst allowing us to enjoy family time building sandcastles, paddling in the sea or taking walks along the dunes. – Boo Roo and Tigger Too
Holme – a beautiful peaceful beach for those that don’t like crowds, at the edge of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve there a clean toilets, a car park and a little refreshment hut. The beach is a little walk but then you have miles and miles of sand with very few people around, perfect for relaxing, playing, swimming, paddling and enjoying yourself. – Travelled So Far
We love Winterton on Sea. Beautiful and great for walking too as the dunes are a place of scientific interest. You might even find yourself swimming with a seal! – The Helpful Hiker
Sheringham is our absolute favourite. Golden beaches and lovely water. Free museum on beach front aswell as a couple of touristy shops too! – The Mum Diaries
This was Bacton last week. Stunning and so quiet. Stayed in a little cottage 2 mins from this spot. Bliss. – Mrs Mummypenny
Wells-Next-The-Sea There is a good size car park near the big Sandy beach and you have all the cute beach huts (plus toilets, cafe, ice cream and a Joules!). If you walk up to the town there is an overspill car park, playground, fish and chip shops, a sweet shop and more. – Counting To Ten
We love Hunstanton, we always head to Old Hunstanton for the best beach, dunes and rock pools. – Travels With Ted
We love Cromer! You can catch crabs and go rockpooling but also swim and surf! – Thimble and Twig
