My children seem to go through so many pairs of shoes. I have finally found the reason and it seems to be all the outdoor play they do. The shoes get so much use in the dirt, rain, sunshine, in pretty much all weather conditions, More substantial footwear was a must for the kids and it seems we have finally found a brand that makes outdoor proof footwear.
Footwear brand KEEN have been making adventure proof footwear for years and it is a well loved brand. They are known for their Newport sandal and fans of the brand have been asking for a children’s shoe version for a while now and they have answered their calls and made one. The Newport shoe is perfect for family outdoor adventures and exploring. It is a lightweight shoe but gives the best protection to your child’s feet.
The iconic shoe is now available from KEEN as well as selected retailers. It is available in sizes UK 7-12 and youth sizes 13-6 in five fabulous colours; black/original tie dye, practical steel grey/brilliant blue, bison/black and grey/very berry and they are priced at £45.
What makes KEEN footwear a cut above the rest is the how incredibly durable the shoe is. It is made from the best materials and the rubber toe bumper protects little feet from toe injuries. The Newport shoe is an enclosed shoe but is also breathable and lightweight. The shoe is fastened with a adjustable bungee strap and a simple velcro strap.
Not only are they great for outdoor play but they are ideal for school or nursery. They support little feet, are comfortable and look great!
Elsa, Cleo and Brody each have a pair of the Newport show in the tie dye colour way. They have been amazing for woodland walks, walks on the beach and also city walks as they give great support to their feet if they are walking a bit further than they usually would. So far they have been a great addition to their wardrobe and we will be looking at KEEN footwear in the future when they grow out of their Newport shoes!
