Learning Resources is a local brand for us. It is located in King’s Lynn Norfolk which is not too far from us. We love the brand and it is great that it is also a Norfolk based brand!
Learning Resource create products that are both educational and fun for children of all ages. Many of their products are used in educational settings too which as a parent gives me the reasurrance that their products are a high standard. On their website, the products are organised in categories so it is easy to find what you are looking for. From first years to sensory to creative play and find motor skills, whatever you are looking for, they have!
A few weeks ago, we recieved a package of LR products to test out in time for the summer!
I had 3 very excited children when they noticed the Learning Resources box in the hallway as it always means they are about to have fun. In the box was; Playfoam on the go, Splashology Water Lab set, Sand and Water Fine Motor set, 5-in-1 Measure Mate and the Kidnoculars Extreme.
The Playfoam is a great sensory toy and Cleo loves this as part of her sensory play. The on the go set is brilliant for travel as it comes in a handy travel case. It comes with lots of colours and there is space to create your own Playfoam colour too. Playfoam is amazing, it never dries out!
Water play is ideal for warmer weather. It keeps kids cool and it is safer than playing in deeper water. The Learning Resources Splashology Water Lab set and Sand and Water Fine Motor set are both made for water play. We use these with a washing up bowl of water but you could use a bucket, water table or even a tuff tray. These sets are sold seperatly but can be played with together.
For imaginative play, the 5-in-1 Measure Mate and the Kidnoculars are brilliant. They can be played with indoors or outdoors. The Measure Mate can be played with in many different way and that is what makes it so fun to play with. It is vesitile. It has different measuring instraments including one that you push along the ground. The Kidnoculars are something that the kids have played with before and they were a big hit then. One of the main features of these is the microphone and built in headphones. These enable children to hear sounds from much further away. They are a must if children love nature and the outdoors.
We love Learning Resources as they enable children to learn and fun at the same time! Most of the time they don’t even know they are learning!
