Getting Ready For Christmas!

I have always said it is never too early for Christmas and this year, I mean it even more! With the cost of living crisis, it is important to get things sorted early!

This year, most of the Christmas events have fallen in the same week. In a way, this is good as I can visit and write my reviews and tell you guys if the Christmas event is actually worth your hard earned money.

Out of the majority of seasonal events that we attend. The Christmas ones are always the best ones to visit and with money being tighter than ever, it is important to work out if the event is actually worth the money.

Going to see Santa has always been an event that we have loved to visit and there are many places that do an event like this. Pensthorpe was a huge hit last year and is well worth the money. The experience is great and the toy that the children get to choose is great value for what you are paying. It is £7.95 per child this year and that includes a toy and a visit to Santa’s grotto.

For adults, the biggest Christmas spend for a Christmas event would be Thursford Christmas Spectacular. It is expensive BUT it is one of the best shows that I have ever seen and I would highly recommened it. People travel for miles to see the show and once you visit, you can see why. It is incredible.

If lights are more your thing, then Luminate at Sandringham is a firm favourite. A family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) is £65 this year. I would say it is worth the money and it is an event that the children love. If you are after an event that isn’t overly about Santa or the story of Christmas then this is great one!

I have also booked Polar Express at Dereham Railway. We have never been before so I can’t tell you what it is like but it has cost alot of money so I will let you guys know after we have been!

One big tip is too check local areas, a lot of garden centers, town centers or shopping centers do their own Christmas events and most of the time, they don’t cost alot. Find an event that suits your budget and family. There are so many events out there this Christmas!
