Norwich Engino STEM Center Review

Have you heard of STEM or edutainment? Well in Norwich City Center, Engino are mixing the 2 and have created a STEM edutainment hub called Engino.

Engino is located within Castle Quarter and is very easily accessible. There is a cafe, shop, STEM discovery center and classrooms for STEM workshops that Engino have created for all age groups. Engino also host birthday in the STEM center using the cafe, discovery center and classrooms.

What is STEM? STEM stands for Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics. Engino also focus on robotics as part of their STEM.

This is all very new to us as we never did anything like this when we were at school so while the kids were learning so were we! Engino have it all covered. It is fun but educational. It introduces a whole new world of STEM to children though hands on play. The new center at Norwich is ike nothing that we have seen before. It has everything that you need to be introduced to this new world of STEM whatever your age.

Elsa, Cleo and Brody all did a class while we visited Engino. Cleo and Brody did the same class and built a codable windmill. Elsa did a 6 – 9 years class and built a codable radar from start to finish. It was amazing to watch them work on these and be so proud with the end results. It is incredible to see what they can actually achieve and STEM is something that Elsa loves so she is eyeing up some more classes.

The discovery center is completely different area to the classrooms and can be booked on its own if you don’t have time for a class. This is open within normal opening times. For classes and workshops, the website is the best place to find out more or message Engino on social media.

Engino is an incredible place to visit and we all learnt so much on our visit and every day Elsa has been asking to go back and do another workshop on coding and robots. I would recommened going along and having a go as you never know if you or your children will love it and really catch the bug of wanting to be involved with STEM.
