Despite visiting conventions in the past, we had never visited Norcon until 2023! Norcon is a TV, Film and Comic convention which is based at the Showground in Norwich.
It is one of the larger conventions in Norfolk and some well known people from TV and Film appear as guest. 2023 had people from Harry Potter, Netflix’s Wednesday and Doctor Who. Norcon is a family friendly event but it is important to bare in mind that there are body painters and cosplay walking around as these can be scary and intimidating for young children.
The event runs over 2 days, normally in September and tickets are very reasonably priced considering the size of the event and when we visited, we spent the whole day there. There was so much to see and do. The cosplayers were happy to take photos (Always remember to ask first!) and there was film and TV props from things like Doctor Who and Star Wars.
As Pokenmon card collectors, we were in our element. The stalls there were amazing and everyone was so lovely!
Norcon makes such an amazing day out! It is back next year at the Norfolk Showground on 28th and 29th of September and tickets are on sale now!
