For me, Thursford Christmas events kick off the festive season. It is a sign that Christmas is about to begin.
I’m pretty sure that this year is the 4th year that I have been lucky enough to see the Christmas Spectacular. The show itself is on its 46th year and it just seems to be getting bigger and better with each year. The Christmas Spectacular is a show that includes singing, dancing, music, comedy and even circus tricks. It is a real variety show, there is something for everyone of every age.
This year, I decided to take Elsa along with me. She has been wanting to go for many years but I was waiting until she was the right age to enjoy it. Most of the comedy went straight over her head and she didn’t understand the jokes but she still loved every moment of the show. The lights, costumes and music kept for entertained for the whole show and she came out of the theater with a huge smile on her face.
As an adult, the jokes were hilarious and very well thought out. The songs and dances really did captivate everyone and this year is better than last year and I know that next year, I will be saying exactly the same thing.
The team at Thursford works so hard to create this show and it really does show. Every detail is thought out and all the staff are incredible friendly. Thursford is an uplifting and joyous place to be!
As well as the show, there is also the Enchanted Journey of Light and Santa’s Magical Journey into Christmas that run at the same time as the shows and are separate to the show. These tickets can be brought online or at Thursford. We did the Enchanted Journey of Light this year and it is something that we have done in previous years. It never fails to amaze us. The sculpture lights are like nothing that we have seen before. They really do blow you away.
Santa’s Magical Journey into Christmas is inside and we have done the walk through as part of the Enchanted Journey of Light but we haven’t seen Santa as Thursford but if everything else is to go by, then it will also be an amazing experience.
