Have you heard of Biggle-Dink?

Biggle-Dink is a character created by Jamie Payne. They feature in children’s books that focus on understanding and managing different emotions and feelings.

Through the books, children are introduced to different emotions and feelings using Biggle-Dink. The collection of books is both written and illustrated by Jamie and they have been created to help young children. As well as the story, the pictures in the book show what is happening in the story so younger children can also join in. Biggle-Dink is a lovable character and the books also talk about the alphabet, numbers and colours so there is a range of subjects that can help children when they read the books in the collection.

There are currently 8 books in the picture book collection:

  • Crabbing in Cromer
  • I don’t like the rain
  • Going to the supermarket
  • At the beach
  • Do I have to go to bed?
  • Curious about cars
  •  Having a picnic
  • Am I in trouble?

The My Friends collection has 5 books:

  • Moonley – Happy being me
  • Are we still friends?
  • Flynn – With my friends
  • Understanding my friend
  • Funny foods

The book Big Feelings is in collaboration with Nelson’s Journey. They are the child bereavement charity in Norfolk and since starting in 1997 they have helped thousands of children and young people following the death of a significant person.

The Early Learning Collection has 3 books

  • Biggle-Dink’s ABC,
  • Shapes and Colours
  • Count with Biggle-Dink

There are plans in the future to have longer Biggle-Dink books for older children, which is so exciting! There is also a colouring book and matching notepad available to buy too.

The Biggle-Dink books are available to purchase online and from certain Norfolk based stores such as the gift shop on Cromer Pier, Roys of Wroxham (also in Dereham, North Walsham, Bowthorpe and Magdalen Street), and at Jarrolds department store in Norwich city centre.
