As you all know I am an advocate for Down Syndrome awareness. Last year I as well as Mum, Dad, Rory and Elsa attended a World Down Syndrome Day event in Norwich in which the City Hall was lit up in support.
So what is World Down Syndrome Day?
World Down Syndrome Day falls on 21/3 every year. To signify that people with Down Syndrome have a 3rd copy of the 21st chromosome. Coincidentally the day also is Mum’s birthday (freaky!).
So last year families from all over Norfolk met outside Norwich City Hall on this date. We were also joined by BBC Radio and ITV News. This year will be bigger and better than ever! Not only are we hoping to spread the word of Down Syndrome awareness and have more families join us but Norwich Castle as well as the City Hall will be lit up in the Down Syndrome awareness ribbon colours (blue and yellow).
Event Details:
Date: 21st March 2017
Time: 17.00pm
Where: City Hall, St Peters Street, Norwich
If you or anyone you know wants to help spread the word and wants to support us then please share this blog post or RSVP to the Facebook event.

This event was organised by Emma Taylor. Emma has a gorgeous little boy called Eli, who like Rory has Down Syndrome. He has a brilliant Facebook page so you can keep up with all Eli and his little buddy Mason’s adventures, it is called Best Buddies and their adventures.

I hope to see you all there!
Always great to spread awareness.
I still think people aren’t entirely aware of what down syndrome is & how it affects people, even in this day and age.
