Toddlebike2 Review and first impressions

We received a brown box which contained this little lightweight pre-balance bike. At first glance it looks tiny and like a regular bike. As soon as I got it out of the box, Rory started to ride it. This might not sound like a big deal but trust me it is. Rory can at times find it difficult to have balance to walk so him riding a bike, we thought it was completely out of the question. Originally I was going to have Elsa test out the ToddleBike2 but that soon changed and Rory claimed the bike. There is just something about the ToddleBike2 that makes it easy for Rory to get on it and manuever it. I’m convinced it is due to the ToddleBike2’s  small light-weight design. We didn’t think Rory would be riding round on a bike before his 3rd birthday but because of the ToddleBike2 he is riding round the house like it is a racetrack and loving it!

It can be used both inside and outside and is intended for children aged 18-36 months when they begin their cycling journey. The saddle and cross-bar are at a similar level meaning that a child can sit on either, where ever they feel comfortable.

The ToddleBike2 makes the transition between bikes easier for children, it’s practical and fun design encourages your child to be active as well as improving their balance. As someone who is very involved in equality for children with additonal needs I love that in the booklet that comes attached it says ‘ Toddlers need to mount and dismount without falling over so must be confident on 2 legs first 12-18 months * Some a  littler earlier, Some a little later – it’s not a competition.’ All companies should have this attitude! It’s amazing to see a company that also has in mind children that may find it that little bit harder to achieve things.

I am so impressed with the ToddleBike2 and We will defiantly be recommending and telling people that the ToddleBike2 is a must have! The bike is also available in Pink, Blue aswell as Red and you can purchase them from the ToddleBike website and Halfords.

Jane Travel 3 Positions baby carrier review and try on video

I have been looking at getting Cleo a baby carrier for a while now, so when the opportunity came up to test one out from the baby brand Jane, i just couldn’t wait to get started reviewing it as soon as it came through the door! I like to think I am an avid multi-tasker so the idea of being able to watch Cleo as well as do any chores that need doing is really appealing to me.

Baby wearing has become really popular in recent years and there is no wonder why.  It has some amazing benefits. Babies love close contact and this is very easy to achieve with a carrier, in fact baby wearing is both good for the baby and it makes the parent’s life just that little bit easier.

The Jane Travel  3 Position carriers features

The Jane Travel 3 Position baby carrier comes in 4 different patterns so there is plenty of variety, whether you are picking for a boy or a girl or if you don’t yet know the sex of the baby and want one that is perfect for either. When you carry your baby to face your chest they can feel and hear your heartbeat, giving your baby a sense of reassurance. The carrier is suitable from birth to around 12 months or 3.5KG to 9KG.

The carrier can be used in 3 ways: Front – Forward outward facing, Front – inward facing or it can be used as a back carrier. Your baby has to face inwards towards your body until around 4 months old then after that can be placed in the carrier to face forwards outwards or forwards inwards to face you as well as on your back. One great feature that I have never seen before on the carrier is the removable dribble bib. It protects your clothes when your baby is facing inwards.

Personally I found it very easy to get Cleo in and out as the carrier opens up to make lots of room to place your baby inside. As someone with back issues i did concern me that carrying Cleo would hurt my back. The Jane carrier has brilliant features to ensure babies weight is evenly distributed. It has lumbar support that crosses over to give added support. Jane have really ticked all the boxes when it comes to added support. The carrier padding gave excellent support for Cleo’s neck and head and the back support for me was brilliant.

We have been testing out the carrier in the Topping Fluor design. The design is lovely and the dark grey goes very well with the bright lime green and I love the bunny rabbit design on the font. the back support has the branding of Jane Kids Zone on it in the matching colour scheme. This carrier is both  stylish and comfortable.

The price is £59.99 and available from the Jane UK website. I think for the quality of the carrier this is a very reasonable price. Cleo loves being carried around so she can look around. This carrier does exactly that and we love using it. We would defiantly recommend the Jane Travel 3 positions carrier!

I have filmed a try on video and it is over on my YouTube

Sunday Adventures – Banham Zoo

We have always loved the zoo but we hadn’t visited Banham Zoo in a while so we decided it was time to visit again.

Banham Zoo is located about 20 miles away from Norwich. For us it is around an hour and a half away, very easy to visit in a day without having to far to travel. We happily spend at least 3 hours there not including time for lunch.

Banham Zoo has a brilliant variety of animals from Marmosets to Giraffes to Tigers. They do animal feeds and talks throughout the day. You can also book an on-the-day animal experience such as feeding the Giraffes. These from what I’ve seen are very reasonably priced.

While we were there we also purchased a winter season ticket, this allows us to visit Banham Zoo and Africa Alive from 1st October till 31st March as much as we would like, it’s an unlimited ticket. As we upgraded to this while we were there they deducted our admission price meaning we only paid an extra £20 each for unlimited access.

We had a brilliant time and here are our photos and link to our YouTube  video!

Appy Kids Co drinks review!

Elsa is a piggy when it comes to juices and squashes. So when Appy Kids Co emailed me and asked if Elsa would like to test out some of their delicious children’s drinks, I had to say yes! We were so excited to receive our box of goodies!

When the box got delivered Elsa was so excited to see all the brilliant characters on the juice pouches. Before we had even tasted them Elsa was sold, she loved them. The range of flavours is good as well, we were sent Paw Patrol Orange, Paw Patrol Apple, Ninja Turtle Multi Fruit and Dora the Explorer Mixed Berries.

As Elsa drinks a lot of juice we are always looking for healthier alternatives. I think Appy Kids might just be the solution.  Their juices are made with low amounts of sugar and low calories meaning they are a healthier choice for children. They use only wholesome ethically sourced ingredients and there packaging is made from recyclable materials. At Appy Kids they also replant trees to make sure they are doing everything they possibly can to help the environment at the same time as making the perfect drinks and snacks for both children and their families.

Appy Kids Co have a mission to be the number 1 healthy choice for families. We have to say they have defiantly done that for us and we are very impressed with the variety of flavours they have. Would we recommend Appy Kids Co to other parents? YES! We would, without a doubt!

You can buy Appy Kids Co from Tesco, Poundland, Spar and Whole Foods as well as Ocado online.

Vital Baby haul!

Vital Baby haul!

I was kindly sent a box of goodies for Elsa to try out from Vital Baby. I thought the best way to show you what we were sent is by doing a haul!
Vital Baby is available in Mothercare, Toys ‘R’ Us and many other shops around the Uk. When I first looked on their website one of the first things I noticed was how brilliant the price point is! When we opened the box and had a look at what we received, the quality of the products is brilliant especially for the price. Vital Baby has a wide range of products available from baby bottles to bath toys. They have most bases covered when it comes to baby and toddler essentials.

Our Haul:

1. Vital Baby Rabbit Tableware set – The pattern on this bowl and plate set is beautiful. They are a brilliant size and feel very well made. They are made from a plastic that I feel if Elsa threw them then it wouldn’t chip or crack. The bottom of both the plate and bowl have a non slip base, this is excellent to help avoid any unwanted accidents that include food going all over the room when the bowl or plate slips off the high chair or table.

2. Vital Baby No Mess Trap a snack – I’ve been looking for something like this for Elsa for a while but never found one that looked any good. The size is perfect. It is handy that it has handle and it easy to get the snacks out but at the same time there is no worry about there being a mess as it keeps the snacks in the pot with the special lid.

3.Vital Baby Stainless Steel Cutlery Set – We are really lucky that Elsa has always been interested in using cutlery when eating but I’ve always struggled to find a set that also included a suitable knife. Either sets not have a knife with them or they aren’t suitable for a 2 year old to use.

4. Vital Baby Simply an Easy Drink Cup – Elsa is 2 so I wasn’t sure if she would use a cup with handles but she loves using it. It is a simple cup, it’s easy to clean with only 2 part the cup itself and the lid, not like some cups that feel like they have a million pieces to clean.

5. Vital Baby Fruity Fragrance Hand and Face Wipes – These smell amazing and they are very gentle on then skin. They clean the most grubbiest of faces!

6. Vital Baby Mum On The Go Disposable Changing mats and Bibs – You get 3 disposable bibs and 1 disposable changing mat. They are the perfect size for a handbag or changing bag, they come in a handy little pouch. The mats and bibs themselves are waterproof and soft so they are going to be very comfy for your little one. I can’t wait to use these on a day out  with Cleo!

4 days, 4 face masks with Anatomicals

4 days, 4 face masks with Anatomicals

Over 4 days I tested out 4 different face masks by the brand Anatomicals. Each ma20170916_190004sk claimed to help potential problems you could have with your skin such as dryness or it looking dull. Personally I don’t use face masks that often and when I do it is normally one from a large jar and not from small individual packs like these ones I have been testing out.

The 4 face masks I tested out were:

Day 1 – Look, you’ve got chocolate all over your face Anti-stress mask; As soon as I opened the packet the scent of chocolate hit me.  I think it is anti-stress because of the smell, its delicious! There seemed to be a lot in the pack and when applied to the face it dried in around 15 minutes. I removed with a warm wet flannel and it left my skin feeling very smooth and soft.

Day 2 – Makes your skin brighter (if not you) Strawberry + Yarrow mask; Once again there was loads in the pack and it took around 15 minutes to dry. The strawberry scent is not very strong which I did like. It felt very gentle on the skin and it made my skin feel tight. It defiantly left my skin looking and feeling brighter. The only thing was I did find it hard to remove.

Day 3 – I feel the need, the need for seaweed calming algae mask; This one has to be my favourite out of the 4 masks tried. There was also loads in the pack and it took 10/15 minutes to dry. The scent of this mask is amazing and the colour is fab! It is the brightest blue! It left my skin looking clear, soft and smooth and  had no redness at all when I removed it. As an added bonus I fell in love with the Top Gun packaging. On the back it reads; ‘If there is a face mask out there you’re going to lose that loving feeling for, it’s this one. We promise your beauty will quite literally take someone’s breath away and all this in under 10 minutes. So as you can tell, we also feel the need, the need for speed.’ This is brilliant!

Day 4 – Hawaii five-glow tropical hydrating mask; This mask smells like you have walked in to a sweet shop. The scent is lovely and not to strong. Like the last 3, there was a lot in the pack. It left my skin looking and feeling hydrated. It dried in 15 minutes and was very easy to remove.

I had great fun testing out these masks and they are some of the best masks I have ever used. You can buy Anatomical products from Superdrug and Asos and you can also view their products on their website.

Hugzzies – A warm lavender scented hug

Hugzzies – A warm lavender scented hug

Elsa and I have been using a new super soft warm teddy that can be used as a safe alternative for children when you don’t want to give your little one a hot water bottle.

The Hugzzies has a removable microwavable wheat bag that gets warmed up to the perfect temperature. An added bonus is that the Hugzzies has the most gorgeous lavender scent.  It is not overwhelming at all and to me is just right. It can be used at home or on the go and has a soft Velcro waist belt to give the feeling of a nice warm hug. The Hugzzies can be used to help ease pain as well as keep your little one warm in the colder months. We have also seen them used as a bum bag to carry their favourite toys.

They come in 5 different animals which children will love as they can pick the one they want. The animals are:  Carly the Cat, Dexter the Dog, Mikey the Monkey, Pauley the Panda and Betty the Bunny.

Elsa was sent Mikey the Monkey and fell in love with him as soon as I got him out of the box. Hugzzies are made out of the most softest fabric so that they are perfect for children of any age.

Hugzzies are £9.99 and you can buy them over on their website.
